TrainingTips.com: What advice would you give to someone interested in trying out mountain biking for the first time?
Michael: Mountain biking is a great challenge and can be so rewarding when you conquer a great hill , traverse a difficult ravine or simply land a jump and live for the next one! My best advice is that speed is your friend, hit the brake less and let momentum help you through! The slower you go the more you are going to be thrown off the smallest rock or root. Remember if you stare at it you will steer straight into it; so always look 15 foot or so in front of you and let your chosen line get you through.
